EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR-Andrea Berry, MNM

With only a year at FADC Andrea has expanded the outreach collaborations to reach: The ARC ADT program, Tykes & Teens, The Hope Center for Autism, HPS, PACE Center for Girls, and soon the Samaritan Center. Andrea grew up in Martin County and is actually a fifth generation native Floridian. She comes to us with a Master’s Degree in Nonprofit Management (MNM) an undergrad in Humanities, many years of service to nonprofit organizations in our area, and a wonderful appreciation of art and dance. “I am proud to be associated with the best school for dance on the Treasure Coast. Not only do we have the most talented instructors and best facility but our studio is different than other studios because at FADC every child is a star. Any student that walks in the door will have endless potential.”

ARTISTIC DIRECTOR of BALLET-Loretta Miller
Loretta Miller, former soloist of The Boston Ballet joins FADC after a professional career spanning more than 20 years as a dancer, teacher, and choreographer. Loretta began her training at the age of seven in Tidewater, VA. From the ages of 13 to 16 she won scholarships to the prestigious School of American Ballet in New York. While studying there she was scouted by Barbara Weisberger to join the Pennsylvania Ballet. Two years later she received an offer from E.V. Williams and Violette Verdy to join The Boston Ballet. She traveled extensively throughout Europe and Asia with the Stars of the Boston Ballet and Rudolf Nureyev. She performed many soloist and principal roles most notably "The Queen of the Dryads" in Don Q, the "Solo Girl" in Balanchine's Rubies and "Choleric" in his Four Temperaments. She created the role of "Fate" in Choo San Gohs Romeo and Juliet to critical acclaim. Loretta was a guest artist throughout the United States performing such roles as "The Sugar Plum Fairy" and "The Snow Queen" in The Nutcracker, "Swanhilda" in Coppelia, The Tchaikovsky pas de deux, Afternoon of a Faun and the role of "Mryta Queen of the Willies" in Giselle. She has held faculty positions at Steps and The Broadway Dance Center in New York City teaching intermediate to professional levels of ballet. Loretta has also been on the Dance Faculty of The University of Florida, Santa Fe Community College and IRCC. She joined FADC as a ballet instructor in 2004. She choreographed her first full length Nutcracker for FADC in 2005. She became Director of Ballet in 2006, and was named Artistic Director of Ballet in 2008.

Adam Schnell, Ballet Instructor & In House Guest Artist
Adam brings to us a vast international performance and teaching experience. His professional performance experience includes: Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo, Sarasota Ballet, Nevada Ballet, Omaha Theater Ballet, and Channel Islands Ballet. He is working toward a Bachelors of Arts degree in Arts Management and Dance Education. We are thrilled to add a male teacher to our Ballet program to teach a Pas de Deux class. This will allow our students to experience partnering on a more regular basis. 
 

BALLET, TAP, JAZZ INSTRUCTOR-Beth McKenzie-Shestak
Beth has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of the Arts (Philadelphia, PA) along with 8 years of jazz, ballet (Vaganova sylabus), tap and lyrical training at the Dance Factory in Stuart, Florida.  Beth has also completed three years of Master Classes for Acting at the Burt Reynolds Institute in WPB, Fl and has 15 years of vocal training in Florida, Pennsylvania and New York.  She has directed for Little Mammoth Productions in Philadelphia and choreographed for FayMac Productions, Cummings Productions, CBPH Productions and Shiloh Theatrical Productions.

 
 
 
Lindsay Rybak Jazz Instructor
Lindsay graduated from Marymount Manhattan College in New York City with a Bachelors Degree of Fine Arts specializing in Dance. Her dance experience includes Jazz, Modern and Ballet. You may have seen her solo in our End of the Year Performance. She has taught at the Ailey School in Manhattan as well as various studios in Palm Beach Gardens. We are eager to have her cultivate our Jazz Program
 
HIP-HOP & TUMBLING INSTRUCTOR-Dominique Shepherd
Dominique started dancing when she was 4yrs old taking ballet and tap. She loved to tumble and added gymanstics to her dance training. Four years ago, she started taking Hip-hop at FADC combining her love for dance and tumbling. FADC saw her passion for dance and natural skills and have her share that with the kids through teaching. Dominique is in her third year of teaching tumbling and hip-hop at FADC and believes that it is the "best job ever". Dominique also creates music. She writes and has recorded her own songs. She has been known to use some her own music in her classes.
 

 IRISH STEP- Maureen Armstrong
Muareen Armstrong performed Irish dance at Carnegie Hall and Radio City Music Hall in NY. She is an adjudicator of Irish Dance Competitions throughout North America. Her students have successfully qualified to compete at the World Championships in Irish Dance held in Ireland.

 

Director of Education, Ballet & Modern INSTRUCTOR- Peggy Mead-Finizio Peggy began her dance training at the Flint School of Performing Arts in Flint, Michigan. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from Florida State University and a Master of Fine Arts in Choreography from the University of Iowa. Teaching dance and drama is a true passion for her. Her teaching and choreography credits include Ballet Quad Cities, Flint Youth Ballet, Flint Youth Theatre and others. She most recently was the Director of the Department of Dance for the Bethel College Academy of Performing Arts in Newton, Kansas where she created the curriculum, developed the program and taught many classes. She is also currently an Associate Artisit for Flint Youth Theatre in Flint, Michigan.

   
Director of Operations, Pre Ballet, Ballet, Lyrical Instructor-Mina Hamilton
Mina graduated FADC in 2004 with 14 years of ballet and 4 years of jazz training, and has been a teacher at the studio for 7 years. This year she took on the important role of Executive Assistant. Mina has  a bachelor's degree in Finance from Florida Atlantic University.
   
Ella Yakubovich, Ballet Instructor
Ella is from Russia and has trained in the Vaganova Classical Ballet method. She has a Masters in Teaching of Choreographic Disciplines from the University of Art and Culture from the City of Perm in Russia. She has also received a Diploma with Honors in classical Ballet-Cecchetti Method from the Quinte Ballet School of Canada. Her teaching experience also includes Jazz, Pas de Deux, Modern, Variations, and Character.   We are excited to have her teach Ballet and Character at FADC.
 

Jennifer L. LaCombe, Ballet Instructor

Jennifer started her dance career as a student at the Armory Learning Arts Center in Montgomery, Alabama; studied classical ballet, modern and jazz; under the direction of Ballet Master Haynes. She continued her dance training in the Alabama Dance Theatre (ADT) as a company member from 1993-1998. She has attended numerous intensives including Southeastern Regional Ballet Association (SERBA) Festivals, National Ballet Festival as a member of ADT, Ballet West Conservatory summer intensive in Salt Lake City, Utah, Joffrey Ballet School Trainee Program. Finally, she worked as a guest Artist & Teacher at Ballet, Etc. in Prattville, Alabama and at Auburn Ballet School.
