BALLET INSTRUCTOR-Susan Horton
Susan has been affiliated with Florida Arts & Dance Co. for the past 12 years. Her ballet training with the Joffrey Ballet and as an apprentice for the Harkness Ballet Co. (NYC) led her to a professional career worldwide. For ten years she danced in numerous Ballet, Operas and Operarettas. She has taught and choreographed for the past twenty years at various professional and student levels in NY at Ballet Florida in West Palm Beach and for FADC . In 2003 Susan participated in a week long Cecchetti Society International Teachers Seminar where she worked on her skills and was awarded the highest level certificate. In 2006 Susan took another Teachers Intensive with world renown instructors. She brings all of this knowledge back to FADC for the enrichment of her students ballet education.
MUSIC TOGETHER-Jodi Hirth
Jodi has been teaching Music Together since 1995. She taught for the founder in Princeton, NJ, as well as the Gymboree play program. At Gymboree she was onof 13 awarded the "international Teacher Excellence Award" in 1996. Jodi has a B.A. in Psychology, and a A.A.S. in Liberal Arts. The Center for Music and Young Children in Princeton, NJ, awarded Jodi Hirth in July of 2003 Music Together Certification Level I status for outstanding achievement in teaching, musicianship, program philosophy, and parent education. In addition to the classes Jodi is teaching at FADC she is offering a class to the autistic children from Jensen Beach Elementary School.
HIP HOP AND THE PINE SCHOOL INSTRUCTOR-Burcin Gursel
A locally trained dancer in ballet, jazz & hip hop, Burcin has competed around Florida as a dancer for over two years, and has recieved recognition for her works in hip hop choreography and teaching. This is her fourth year at FADC . Burcin has also taught for DEA Conventions and performed at Sunfest.
  DIRECTOR/INSTRUCTOR DANCE INCLUSION-Joan Hooks
Joan Hooks holds a BA in Dance from the University of Iowa, a Masters in Physical Therapy from Old Dominion University and holds her certification in Pilates Training. In addition to FADC , Joan is a pediatric Physical Therapist at St. Mary's Medical Center and is affiliated with Case and Company, and Stuart Dance Academy.
  WARDROBE MISTRESS, DANCE INCLUSION, TAP AND THE PINESCHOOL INSTRUCTOR-Sandy Scala
Sandy is a member of NY Actor's Guild and Dance Educators of America. She has taught over the past 20 years for Fred Kelly Studios and LaGratta Studios in New Jersey. She has also performed with the Red Oak Music Theater. Sandy has been with the studio for 2 years teaching as a dance inclusion, jazz and tap instructor. Sandy also works with the Dunbar Headstart daycare students.
ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT, PRE-BALLET, BALLET INSTRUCTOR-Mina Schierer
Mina graduated FADC with 14 years of ballet and 4 years of jazz training, and has been a teacher at the studio for 3 years. This year she took on the important role of the Director's Assistant for Nutcracker and works part time in the FADC office. Mina has an associates degree in finance from Indian River Community College and is currently working on her bachelor's degree at Florida Atlantic University.
Ann Preston

BALLET INSTRUCTOR- Anna Preston - Anna has performed throughout the United States and in Europe. Besides having her own Modern Dance company, Anna Preston and Dancers (choreographer, artistic director) credits include Florida Atlantic University Dance Theatre (artistic director, performer), Morse Donaldson and Company (performer), Demetrius Klein and Dancers (founding member, rehearsal director, performer), and Walt Disney World, Orlando, (Performer, staging specialist). Performance highlights include TV appearances (Morse Donaldson and Dancers), "Florida Dances" in Montpellier, France, shared concert with Mia Michaels dance company, Miami, "Ocean Dances 2000", a joint concert with Mikhail Baryshnikov and his White Oak Dance project, Hollywood, FL (Demetrius Klein and Dancers) and making magic as a Bridesmaid in the Dreams Come True Paradeand as a Lighted Butterfly in Spectromagic (Walt Disney World). Committed to education, Anna has a Bachelor of Arts from Florida Atlantic University (Major in Psychology, minor concentration in Theatre Arts), a Master of Science in Education from Barry University (Major in Human Resources Development and Organizational Leadership) and an additional eighteen graduate credits in Dance and Theatre.

 

BELLY DANCING INSTRUCTOR - Nadia Sahar - Nadia has been teaching and performing for over 20 years. She has received training by many of the leading performers and choreographers in the U.S. and Egypt. She has also successfully trained with several professional dancers in the Midwest.
